Chicago Area Mother Launches Publication for Female Entrepreneurs

Chicago, Illinois-October 26, 2003-A little over a month ago, Yolanda Sappington, began looking for ideas on how she could guide business owners in the right direction regarding starting their own business. After being laid off from her job only a week before, she felt that now was the right time to work from home full time.

After much research on the internet, Sappington found that gathering information entailed visiting various sites to gather information. That is when the idea for the newsletter hit her. She decided that she would put together a four-color print edition newsletter for Female Entrepreneurs. One stop shopping is how she envisioned it in her head. A place for women to receive all their information at one location, she would cut out the middleman.

The newsletter includes informative articles by guest columnists, resources for finding and applying for business grants, the latest trends in technology, low cost advertising opportunities for women, and much more.

A week after launching her newsletter Sappington introduced her website Women in Biz.net, in the first week the site received over 1,000 visitors. Subscribers to the newsletter are from The U.S., Canada, Australia and France.

"I don't want to be a millionaire," says Sappington, I just want to work at home and help others to achieve the same thing.
