Girls4Sport waterwear embraces the serious-yet-fun side of being both a real athlete and a female

SANTA CRUZ, CA September 10, 2004 -- Girls4Sport continues to create top performance waterwear designed for the female athlete by female athletes. The Spring '05 collection combines direct feedback from customers and takes on the fun-yet-serious side of being a female and an athlete. Girls4Sport will be launching their Spring ‘05 collection at the ASR tradeshow in San Diego, CA, September 10-12, 2004,

Serious-yet-fun
"We're embracing the fun and fashionable side of being a female and a real athlete with our new Spring '05 product line," says Leanne Riem, creative director, Girls4Sport. "Serious, yet girly, our products are designed and constructed for real, active use. Our designs say, ‘I'm a active, I have a sense of style, and I know what I'm doing.'"

Girls4Sport rashguard sets are a far cry from the standard issue. Styles include halter-cut, sleeveless, long and short sleeve paired with coordinating boy briefs, bikini bottoms, a new string bikini option, and board shorts. All surf and waterwear have built-in shelf bras to provide light support and an extra modesty layer. Designed for "real" wear, the body style has a tiny bit of extra length in the torso for coverage and won't ride up as you move.

The Spring '05 rashguard and board short prints have fashion- and street-inspired names like Sugar Puffs, Paradise, and Off the Wall. This season includes panel prints (Sugar Puffs and Paradise), the graffiti inspired Off the Wall Pink, and a graphic cityscape sets off the urban Honolulu Blue. Solid combinations mix and match with the prints in both the board shorts and rashguard sets. The Girls4Sport Spring/Summer '05 catalog shows all available colors.

We listen
"Athletes inside and outside the corporate office influence our waterwear. We wear our products on a daily basis and take that feedback directly back to product development. More importantly, we listen to our customers," says Kim Ruby, president, Girls4Sport. "Some of our water women kept asking for board shorts without Velcro. Velcro, a strong option yet caused many snags for some customers. So, we've designed a functional, snag-free board short."

Complete product line
A new, one-piece rashguard resembling an old style swimsuit has been upgraded for 21st century action. The t-back style, moderate inseam, built-in shelf bra, and quick-dry wicking fabric makes this ideal for overall water play.
For leisure, the introduction of the Girls4Sport beach and casualwear includes a string bikini that coordinates with the rashguard sets and super comfy crop pant made from the same performance fabric as the board short.

SPF Protection is always important
All Girls4Sport fabrics are SPF rated have been professional tested following the AATCC Test Method 183-200. Our board shorts and rashguard fabrics are rated at the maximum of SPF 65 and block at least 98% of UVA and UVB rays.
